Hi,

You can have UCCX 3.x & 4.x co-resident with CCM 3.x & 4.x up to UCCX version 4.1(1).

After this (UCCX v4.5) you have to install the software on a seperate server to the CallManager, mostly due to the OS incompatability.

I've attached a useful compatability matrix for you to look at which shows specific information on which versions of CRS work with which version of CallManager (it has a load of other useful info as well..;0)..):
