Route not freeing up IP's from DHCP scope

Unanswered Question

Hi,

I have a cisco 877 route for guest access, not many people use it, but I have a DHCP scope of 10.0.0.0/24 and instead of giving users an IP of 10.0.0.2-3-4 etc they will get 10.0.0.185-190 etc.

What can I do?

I have this problem too.

Hello Andy,

to try to induce the router to release IP addresses you can reduce the lease time to 20 minutes.

If even this does not work I would think to reboot it.

Once I had to reload a C2811 that was refusing to provide IP addresses even if some free ip address was in the scope.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
