SNMP removing Public

Bit of a strange question?

We have added additional SNMP Community's, and want to remove public. Is the any reason why we shouldn't?

There should be no harm in removing the Public SNMP community, as long as none of your monitoring applications are using it. I assume you have created another read only community and will use that instead.

Yes, we have created a new one that our monitoring servers are using.
