Recently I bought a 3745 router to expand my own cisco knowledge
how ever it seems it can't read its own CF card (internal 128MB, no exxternal)
as Ike knocked out my home internet I'm trying to put together a list of things to try
any ideas
I can only get to Rommon mode (i have to press the break key in Hypr term to reach it
I've checked the CF card with a cf reader and copied the ios to my harddrive just incase

1.From ROMMON mode try either "reset" or "boot" command to boot to normal mode
2.If it boots normally , then IOS is there.
3.Set the boot variable & config-reg with suitable values & save the config, reload again to see if it is working normally
4.If from ROMMON you can not boot normally then you need to copy the IOS in router flash using xmodem method link for same is mentioned below

it can't boot normaly
and I've removed the cf card and used a reader to verify the ios is there
and in rommon mode dir flash: fails and there isn't a cf in slot0:
should I move the cf from the sysboard to slot0?
I'm going to check to ensure its formated with fat (I don't see why it wouldn't)
and I've backed up the ios bin file

copying via xmodem did the trick
it erased the cf and initialized it so the router was able to read it
thank you
