mtu for WASS and VPN router

Hi Master

Can someone please explain how mtu work between WASS and VPN router. Also is mtu has to be the same on those devices?

The default interface MTU in WAAS is 1500. You can adjust it in interface configuration mode. A more preferred approach would be to adjust the TCP MSS for the optimized connections. By default, WAAS will use the lesser of the MSS advertised by the client/server and 1432. If you have a need to manually adjust the TCP MSS, you can use the command:

tfo tcp optimized-mss <512-1460>
