Recertification...

Unanswered Question

I let my CCDA expire about five years ago and I just took the 642-072 exam for the Cisco Unity Design Specialist track which has a CCDA requirement.

According to Cisco's site, any 642 level exam will recertify the CCDA.

Now, will the 642-072 recertify my CCDA or do I still need to retake the CCDA exam? I am thinking that it will only recertify non-expired exams.

Thanks

I have this problem too.

If you let a certification expire, it is like you never had it. You will have to take your CCDA all over again. Re-certifications only apply to active certifications, not expired ones. Sorry.
