Hello,
I have a problem with router 1811. I have many Interface Resets on my WAN interface (Fa0).
The interface does not change the state (up and down) but the interface resets increase non-stop.
My speed is set to Auto and the duplex is set to full (the same as provider).
Is there anything that I can check for this issue?
Thanks for your help,
Mehdi

This can happen if packets queued for transmission were not sent within several seconds. On a serial line, this can be caused by a malfunctioning modem that is not supplying the transmit clock signal, or by a cable problem. If the system notices that the carrier detect line of a serial interface is up, but the line protocol is down, it periodically resets the interface in an effort to restart it. Interface resets can also occur when an interface is looped back or shut down.
Are there are any errors on interface ?
If there are errors , may be you want get the link checked from service provider.
HTH...rate if helpful..

Thanks for the answer.
The interface does not change status (up and down) it is always up.
There were bunch of errors on the line because of the incompability of the duplex, but I fixed it by duplex full.
If the problem comes because of the packets queued for longtime, how can I fix it?
Thanks again,
Mehdi
