Hunt Pilot Name Display

Hi, We have a requirement from a customer where we have configured several hunt groups. The customer wants to allocate a name to each pilot number of the hunt group. Thus if a caller is dialing one of the pilot numbers, the name of the pilot number appears on the display of the IP phone receiving the call. Is there any way to achieve this? We are using CCM 6.1.2.

Regards,

Chandrasen

Hi Chandrasen,

I was just testing this out in our lab. You can change this behaviour by setting up a new DN on a CTI Route Point that "front ends" (via Call Forward All) the Hunt Group. The calls to this new DN will still reach the Hunt Pilot but will strip off the CLID and replace it with it's own. This way your users will see the proper Hunt Pilot CLID :)

So, for example, if one of your Hunt Pilot DN's is 5000. Take 5000 and move it to become the CTI-RP DN and create a new Hunt Pilot DN of 2100 (with the same Line Group Members). On the CTI-RP DN Configuration page set the Call Forward All to 2100. When a call comes in via 5000 the users will be able to see that CLID on their phones to identify the proper response.

Hope this helps!

Nice workaround :)

If this hunt pilot is for Unity, the answer is simple, you can set it Voicemail>Cisco Voice Mail Port>Display. If not, you can follow this forwarding workaround from CTI-RP.

Hi. Thanks everyone. I will test on site and keep you posted.

Hi, I tested it on site and it works. 5 points for you Rob.
