From what I can see, the OS is Linux:
kernel=(hd0,1)/c4710ace-mz.A1_7b.bin ro root=LABEL=/ auto console=ttyS0,9600n8
quiet bigphysarea=32768
[Linux-bzImage, setup=0x1400, size=0xa8bb3c7]
If so, is it possible to run "tcpdump" on
this box?
One of the thing I like about F5 BigIP
is the ability to run tcpdump on it.
It makes troubleshooting so much easier.
Is tcpdump available on ACE? Thanks.

This platform has multiplie CPU.
The one you see is the management CPU.
So, yes we can run tcpdump, but you will only catch probes, telnet/ssh traffic to the device.
The production traffic is handled by another cpu.

Can I run tcpdump on other virtual context?
I come from F5 BigIP environment. Therefore,
I like tcpdump.
Is it possible?
Thank you Gilles

Again, if you want to catch traffic to/from the device physical ip address (not vip) you could use tcpdump but it requires a special engineering patch.
If you want to capture all traffic, you should use the 'capture' command.
Gilles.
