mpls vs. p2p T1's

is the performance of mpls as compared to T lines similar? packet overhead etc? which would have less latency? thank you.

I have this problem too.

T lines are p2p so no switching time is needed and no L2 source/destination will be there. i think they r faster

I assume you're comparing WAN DS1 with WAN MPLS with DS1 connections to CE routers?

Dedicated DS1 should perform better, but for most "real world" traffic, perhaps not enough better that it matters. When you also consider the sometimes hugh cost deltas, WAN MPLS can be very attractive.
