Redundancy - C2960G-24TC-L

Switch1 and switch2 are uplinked on port24 on both switches in a ISL-trunk

We want NIC1 from server1 into switch1 and nic2 from server1 into switch2.

The two interfaces on the server are bounded into one virtual and has a set ip address.

I wish to accomplish redundancy to make sure traffic runs smoothly even if one of the switches should die or fail in some way.

How should I configure my two Cisco-switches to accomplish this?

The way it is now, I get a lot of 'adressflapping' errors on the ciscos' like this:

(Oct 6 12:23:11: %SW_MATM-4-MACFLAP_NOTIF: Host 0022.1983.xxxx in vlan 10 is flapping between port Gi0/24 and port Gi0/2)

Thanks,

When configuring teaming at the server side, both NICs must be connected to the same switch. Once connected to the same switch, you can configure etherchanneling in the switch.

Having the server connecting to 2 different switches while the NICs are teamed, it's not a supported network configuration.
