Question about MPLS in 350-001

It's a year since I sat mine but the MPLS knowledge required was basically a good overview of the technology, how it works, the functions performed by different routers (CE,PE) including tag exchange protocols and penultimate-hop popping.

Basically a good understanding of the techology, but no real details on how to configure it. I spent no more than a couple of evenings reading up on it, of course this could have changed.

I used Wendall Odoms CCIE Routing and Switching Official Exam Certification Guide (second edition) which has a section on MPLS in one of the appendices which was sufficient.

Hope this helps

You should be fine with MPLS knowledge required for the R&S written with the CCIE Routing and Switching Official Exam Certification Guide by Wendell Odom.

The 3rd edition is out there as well.

I would support suggestions for Odom. The third edition sees MPLS as a formal chapter rather than an appendix. Also if you have access to PEC, take a look there for specific training offerings, especially if the advanced routing and switching specialist info is still there. The syllabus was remarkable similar to the 350-001 blueprint, but overall not quite as deep.
