Hi,
I have a quarry on accessing router (broad band) through internet. Can we shut the router LAN and WAN interfaces by accessing the router through internet?

Technically, you can do that. However, it is depending on which interface you are accessing.
For example, the WAN interface, you should not shut or unless all your connection will be dropped.

Yes you can, but you need to make sure that you don't shut down the interface that you're connected to, or you'll never be able to connect again until someone either reloads the router, or reenables the interface with a console connection.
You can do a reload in before making any changes, and this way you can schedule a reboot in case you lock yourself out. If the current configuration is working, I would write the changes before scheduling the reboot and shutting down the interfaces.
If you don't want to schedule the reboot, you don't have to.
