We've had several GLC-SX-MM, SFP's failures within the last month and a half. Does Cisco have a way of referencing the failure rate for a certain device?
Links are apprecaited
Thanks in advanced,

Hello Justin,
let me share our experience
in the last mounths we had to change many GLC-SX-MM SFP in two campus networks we thought we had got a set of defective transceivers.
However, older bigger GBICs are more reliable, SFPs are much smaller but probably they suffer more heating (more power density)
Hope to help
Giuseppe

Giuseppe,
Thanks for your response that is enlightening. I would like to move away from these transceivers as well. That being said I need to provide justification to get funds for this, hence why I need statistics on the failure rate of this particular transceiver.
Thanks again Giuseppe,
