Hi,
Looking for a switch solution which could support 16 ports of 10GbE via XFP, and about a dozen 1GbE RJ45 ports.
I looked at the Nexus 5000, but as far as I can tell it only offers 12 x 10GbE ports.
I need something with some serious backplane. Our loading figures are around 800 megabytes (not bits) per second to a 10GbE RAID array port using iSCSI.
Also cannot have the big Nexus 7000 or anything huge like a 6500.
Much appreciated.

Hi Jason,
4900M switch as suggested is the one which fits your requirement.
Have a look at Table 2 in the below link - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps5718/ps6021/ps9310/Data_Sheet_Cat_4900M.html
16 - 10 Gig Interfaces and 20 1 Gig RJ-45.
