enough power

hi,

i am un able to find my LWAP in WCS but in WLC i can find this.in WLC the oppration status is down and in mesg's it is showing "ap is un able draw enough power".please help me to resolve this issue....

What AP? If a 1242, 1230, or 1130 it could be a CDP issue on the switch misreporting the availability of power from the port. If it is a 1252 then you must use a 802.3at device to power it.

You may also need to configure the WLC to accept whatever power supply you're using. Go to the Wireless tab in the WLC GUI and click on your access point. Click on the Advanced tab to modify the power settings. Check the appropriate box if you're using a power injector or a pre-standard powered switch.

Correct Jeff. If he is using a substandard 802.3af device like the older Cisco units (the pre 802.3af) he will get this error as well.
