Has anyone seen the following DHCP issue with DHCP snooping enabled across the LAN, Option 82 disabled on all switches, and trusting all trunk links and the port to DHCP server?
If a client plugs into a different port configured for a different VLAN, the client appears to obtain the same IP address from the previous VLAN. If you release/renew, the client still gets the old address. However, if you release, disconnect, and reconnect, the client will get an address on the correct VLAN.
Why doesn't a simple release/renew work?
This is happing for many users, Windows OS, and across multiple switches.
