Hello Anita,

below a link for IOS upgrade for a stack of switches.

If your switch is a standalone switch follow the item:

manual (.bin file)

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps5023/products_configuration_example09186a00804799d7.shtml

use flash: to address the flash file system in a stand alone switch

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Sateesh -

You can use the 'remote' commmand to run commands on the remote switch, if you want to verify that the image was copied to the flash of your third switch.

If you use the download-sw command the IOS should automatically copy the image to each of the switches.

Hello Sateesh,

try to use flash1:, flash2: flash3:

About the procedure:

I've used

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/hw/switches/ps5023/products_configuration_example09186a00804799d7.shtml

the operations are all done from the current master:

copy tftp: flash1:

then

copy tftp: flash2:

then

copy tftp: flash3:

But if you really don't see the flash of the two slave routers there is some problem

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Hi,

Thanks for info...I want to use .bin file upgradiation as i am comfortable with tar file..

1) I have to set the bootsytem like

boot system switch all flash:/image right

If i set like that this will change all switches boot system right??

2) I want to reload the switches manually ?? is there any single command to reboot all the switches...

Its very urgent..

Thanks

Sateesh

Hello Sateesh,

1)

yes each switch sees its own flash as flash:, it is the master that addresses via TFTP the slaves' flashes as flash2: , flash3:

2) once you have checked the bootvar on all switches (follow the link in previous post for detailed steps) you just need to issue the reload command on master: automatically all of them will be and should load the new image.

I advice you I had problems so setup console connections to all of the switches for safety.

And if something goes wrong and a switch is stucked in rommon you can only use xmodem.

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Thanks you very much..

sateesh
