HSRP in L2 switch

Hi,

I dont know much about HSRP but i have one doubt can we use HSRP in L2 switch alone to achieve redundancy

HI,

HSRP works on virtual IP Address.

You need to have L3 physical interfaces where you can assign the IP address of the interface & virtual IP Address.

SO HSRP can not run on L2 switch.
