FXS port DSP Error RNA

Have fax connected to fxs port. I can see the port go off hook, but keeps ringing. Console log show

Oct 13 15:22:33.583: flex_set_codec_state_send_with_ack: Error - DSP failed to reply properly.

ack_status = 12, channel_id = 2

Has anyone seen this?

Looking at the log messages, it seems as though the DSP is timing out. This could be caused by either a software bug with the DSPware running on the router or a hardware issue. Can you please provide me with the following information.

show run

show version

show voice dsp detail

sh voice dsp group all

This error message is actually dsp crash-dump on your router.

Yes, reloading the router (which reloaded DSP Firmware) fixed it

I ran across this thread because one of the sites I support had this same issue. I was getting DSP Timeout errors and we reloaded the router and the DSP's came up in a FAIL STATE.

I then powered off the router (2951) completely and unplugged the cable. Waited a few minutes and powered back on and everything worked. I believe the PVDM's are going bad and I need to replace them but this bought me some time.
