Hello Edmer,

may you explain in more detail what is your test and what do you see ?

you see a port that with a loopback plug goes to errdisable (this could be the effect of bpdu guard)


do you see a port that was blocking when connected to something else change to non blocking when you put the loopback plug in place of the original cable ?

in this second case once the port doesn't hear better BPDU on the link it becomes the designated port for the segment and could move to forwarding state (it would be better the first case )
