Hi
I am trying to configure a UC520 to email incoming faxes to users. I have an analogue fax machine that is currently connected to one of the FXS ports and operates as a normal fax. What do I need to configure to make this work, any pointers in the right direction would be greatfully appreciated
thanks
Ian

The configuration can be done by using fax passthrough instead of fax relay. On detection of a fax tone on an established VoIP call, the gateways switch into fax pass-through mode by suspending the voice codec and loading the pass-through parameters for the duration of the fax session. This process, called upspeeding, changes the bandwidth needed for the call to the equivalent of G.711.

Many thanks
One of my problems that I haven't made clear is that I am using a SIP trunk for IPT connectivity and find that sometimes fax works and yet other times I get tx/rx errors. Do you know of anything I should be aware of delivering faxes over the SIP trunk
thanks
