Any one has encountered problem with clock set of Cisco 3560 Switch? I have 2 Cisco 3560 switches with model type and IOS version as below:

System image file is "flash:c3560-ipbase-mz.122-25.SEE2/c3560-ipbase-mz.122-25.SEE2.bin

Cisco IOS Software, C3560 Software (C3560-IPBASE-M), Version 12.2(25)SEE2, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

The problem is that after I did the clock set, write mem and reload the switch, the clock setting just went back to factory default.

Will it be the battery issue? Pls help

Your absolutely correct, there is not battery backup for the clock for the 3560, the same can be said for all the other low end switches like 2900 XL, 3500 XL, 2950, 3550, 3750.

Unfortunately you will have manually configure the clock after each reload unless you use NTP.

Hi Somnath,

If i were in your shoes, i would have used NTP.
