Solved: IOS up gradation error - urgent

Hi,

I am getting error while trying to upgrade the IOS of Cisco 3560 switch.Please find the attached screen shot for the error message and show version command output.We have total 7 3560 switch and I am getting the same problem for all.I have used the same TFTP server for up gradation of both firewall and router and I didn't get any error.

Please help to resolve it..

Hi Somnath

It looks like you don't have problem with swithes.This problem seems to be with your TFTP application.

Try any of the following steps.

1)Please reboot your computer and then start the TFTP application and try to upgrade the IOS....it should work now..if not go to next step.

2)Re Install the TFTP application and follow step 1

3)Or you can download the Free Solarwind TFTP application http://www.solarwinds.com/products/freetools/free_tftp_server.aspx and use it to upgarde the IOS.

hi

once i faced same problem. i installed another tftp server in my pc and it was working. try changing tftp server.

Thanks!! with Solarwind TFTP application I have done it sucessfully.

Go to configure terminal

#Conf t

#no boot system flash:c3560-ipbase-mz.122-25.SEE2/c3560-ipbase-mz.122-25.SEE2.bin

#boot system flash:c3560-ipbasek9-mz.122-25.SEE4.bin

#copy running-config startup-config

#Reload

--After Reboot run show version and check if Switch is booted with new image.

--Once everything is working

#delete flash:c3560-ipbase-mz.122-25.SEE2/c3560-ipbase-mz.122-25.SEE2.bin

#squeez flash

you are good to go.....
