Recertification needed?

Unanswered Question
Oct 15th, 2008

I finished my CCNA last summer and am now going after the CCVP. I've passed the CVoice, and I'm working on Gwgk.

My question is: will I need to recertify the CCNA in June with a leaning in voice, or since I've passed at least one CCVP test, did that exempt me from having to re-up the CCNA?

I have this problem too.

I think that you need to finish all CCVP exams before June, because after June a prerequisite for gaining the CCVP cert will be a valid CCNA Voice cert.

I just spoke with the PRT dept. at Cisco. I was told that as long as I've passed one CCVP test and am in the process of obtaining it, I won't have to retake the CCNA/voice. :

Try logging onto the Certification Tracking System on Cisco.com. You need to log on with your Cisco Certification ID (CSCOID), not your cisco.com login and it will show you the prerequisites of each exam and your status for each one. It takes a bit of getting used to navigating it, but once you get the hang of the icons, you will be able to see at a glance where you stand.

Hope this helps,

Andrew
