The time on debug Oct 15 16:01:39.885: seems using greenwich time, however show clock use local time zone. Sometimgs it's quite confusing. How can we sure the log time also shows the local time?

Hello,

add the localtime option to the command

service timestamps [debug | log] [uptime | datetime [msec]] [localtime] [show-timezone] [year]

see

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/fundamentals/command/reference/cf_r1.html#wp1030116

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Type:

service timestamps log datetime localtime

clock timezone (however many hours off your are from GMT)

mine is:

clock timezone CST -6

then for daylight savings:

clock summer-time recurring
