Background Wallpaper

Answered Question
Oct 15th, 2008

We just discovered the Cisco Phone Designer application. It's a great way to change the background image on an IP phone. Once an image is downloaded to the phone is there any way to eliminate the horizontal lines that go across the phone's display? (So the image or company logo can be clearly seen. (UCM Version 5.0)

I have this problem too.

The latest Version may resolve these lines but it also introduces many new faults !

and make sure you really want to take that risk.

We are logging a P1 with Cisco today and might roll back all 3000+ Phones.

Thanks Steffen, Will pass this on to our customer and let them decide if it's worth the risk.

I would not recommend to do this as it introduces around 4 bugs so far. Please read my post about it (link that I added)
