Hi,

I apologise for the basic question, but I am just strating to try and learn some Cisco.

I am setting up a 1700 series router. Everytime I reload the router it starts up again with none of my config (I have done "copy running-config startup-config). I do a show startup-config and all my changes are there. Why doesnt it work in running config?

Thanks in Advance

Check the value of your config-register in show version. It should be 0x2102. If it is, for example, 0x2142, that would explain why the router is ignoring NVRAM when it boots.
