Solved: Which MDS to pick?

20 Servers with 2x2Gb FC HBAs in each server. One SAN with 4x4Gb FC ports.

Which MDS would meet this need? I am looking for 2 switches to provide redundancy? Is this possible? Thank you. From what I can see, a Director may be required? with 2x48 port modules?

Depends if you have any projected growth and do you have any specific power/space/budget requirements?

If the answer to growth is no, then a pair of 9120, 9140 or 9134 is your best choice.

If you plan to grow the environment at some stage it could be worth going into the director range (9509/9506) but these are big, power hungry and costly.

Just for interests sake, will these servers be chassis systems or blade systems? Life can become interesting with blades.
