I wonder has anyone experienced the above. The symptoms are that the VPN entry remains but the Host and Group Authentication credentials are blank. This has now happened to 2 users, on eusning Vista, One XP. The XP version is 5.0.00.0340.

I have had loads of issues with ver 5.x of the cisco client. I have had to down grade a number of machines. 4.8 is the most stable lastest version I have used. I have rolled this out to 2500 machines with no issues.

Where can I get the 4.8 client? The only client that came on the CD is 5.0.01.0600 ( new ASA 5505 ).

Hello Clarke,
Make sure that you are logging with the right credentials, meaning the one that is authorized to download 3DES Encryption Software.
I can see the files from the URL that I had posted earlier. Also, you can try going to the below URL and accessing the software from there.
