I wonder has anyone experienced the above. The symptoms are that the VPN entry remains but the Host and Group Authentication credentials are blank. This has now happened to 2 users, on eusning Vista, One XP. The XP version is 5.0.00.0340.

I have had loads of issues with ver 5.x of the cisco client. I have had to down grade a number of machines. 4.8 is the most stable lastest version I have used. I have rolled this out to 2500 machines with no issues.

Andrew thanks your reply, is your advice based on experience of this issue? Is it a known bug?

Where can I get the 4.8 client? The only client that came on the CD is 5.0.01.0600 ( new ASA 5505 ).

Hi,

You can download the 4.8 VPN Client from the below URL:

That link says there are no windows downloads.

Hello Clarke,

Make sure that you are logging with the right credentials, meaning the one that is authorized to download 3DES Encryption Software.

I can see the files from the URL that I had posted earlier. Also, you can try going to the below URL and accessing the software from there.
