2821 IOS Problem

I have cisco 2821. I want to change the IOS for my testing purposes. I have download the IOS but unable to to load the IOS.

I am getting sometimes permission error and sometimes no sufficient place.

it is not giving me the option that delete the old IOS.

hi,

there might be not enough space on ur flash to accomodate new ios. copy new ios to compact flash and change the boot sequence.

hope this will help.

Have you tried #squeeze flash to completely erase deleted files?

Hi,

there are 2 reasons for this

1) there is not sufficient space for the new IOS(please check the size of flash)

2) may be the corrupts flash

i have done the same yester day for production and it works fine for me

actailly it will ask you for deleting the flash before it uploads from the server, so in that case u can back up the old IOS and delete it then it wll take new ios
