outgoing number displayed, can I set it per extension?

Hi. Currently all of our outgoing calls show up at the recipients end as one particular phone number.

I'd like my handset to go out with a differnt number displaying on the recipients phone.

How do I do this? Can it be done by translation profiles? Here's what we're doing at the moment:

voice translation-rule 1

rule 1 /433599/ /201/

rule 2 /433585/ /201/

rule 3 /487153/ /201/

rule 4 /43358./ /201/

rule 5 /43359./ /201/

!

voice translation-rule 2

rule 1 // /90/

!

!

voice translation-profile 1

!

voice translation-profile ADDZERO

translate calling 2

!

voice translation-profile INCOMINGDDI

translate calling 2

translate called 1

I'd like my number (210) to display as 487153 on the recipients phone

you can also do this on the CCM through the Route lists an groups etc :) im sure though if everthing is left blank in your ccm in the route lists etc and that your provider is allowing you to send individual CLI then it should be fine.

Forgot to mention im using CCME

make sure your Telco allows this, i've seen way too many cases in which the config was fine but the telco was overriding the calling party IE and sending always the main number or the 1st DID from the ones assigned

Good point. Luckily they do allow it, we had that functionality on our old BCM system.

Configure a translation profile for outgoing calls for the calling party, and assign to your outgoing DP:-

For example

voice translation-rule 3

rule 1 /210/ /487153/

!

voice translation-profile Outgoing-CLI

translate calling 3

!

dial-peer voice 1 pots

translation-profile outgoing Outgoing-CLI

destination-pattern 9T

port 0/2/0:15

Hi Al,

Just tried this, still appears to show up as the root of the PRI number, not 487153

Here's what ive done:

voice translation-rule 1

rule 1 /433599/ /201/

rule 2 /433585/ /201/

rule 3 /487153/ /201/

rule 4 /43358./ /201/

rule 5 /43359./ /201/

!

voice translation-rule 2

rule 1 // /90/

!

voice translation-rule 3

rule 1 /210/ /487153/

!

!

voice translation-profile 1

!

voice translation-profile ADDZERO

translate calling 2

!

voice translation-profile INCOMINGDDI

translate calling 2

translate called 1

!

voice translation-profile Outgoing-CLI

dial-peer voice 1 pots

destination-pattern 920......

port 0/0/0:15

forward-digits 6

prefix 20

no sip-register

!

dial-peer voice 2 pots

description **Answers All Incoming Calls**

incoming called-number .

direct-inward-dial

port 0/0/0:15

!

dial-peer voice 3 pots

description ** Outbound International Call **

preference 1

destination-pattern 900T

port 0/0/0:15

prefix 00

no sip-register

!

dial-peer voice 4 pots

description ** Outgoing national landline / mobiles **

preference 10

destination-pattern 90[1-8].........

port 0/0/0:15

forward-digits 11

no sip-register

!

dial-peer voice 5 pots

translation-profile outgoing Outgoing-CLI

destination-pattern 9T

port 0/0/0:15

Do I need to do anything here:

voice-port 0/0/0:15

translation-profile incoming INCOMINGDDI

cptone GB

timeouts initial 5

timeouts interdigit 5

contact telco ;)

You appear to have missed the translate calling 3 from within the translation profile. Try adding this, if you still have problems then the telco must be restricing cli and sending the main billing noumber.
