Maximum count L3 Interface on C76XX

Hi, i have Ð¡7604 (RSP720-3CXL) + WS-X6708-10GE-3CXL

IOS: c7600rsp72043-advipservices-mz.122-33.SRC1.bin

In this router terminate L2/L3 VPN & Internet access.

How many L3 interface i can create ?

in the datasheet this info is not present

but support for 1024 VRFs can mean at least 4,000 L3 interfaces. But probably is even greater.

Hello Dmitry,

the IDB limit was the first thing I thought of but I was not sure if this concept applies to multilayer switches too.

I've seen it in action in MPLS TE testing on GSR and C7500 (it was a few years ago)

I just wander if a L2 only Vlan uses an IDB entry or not. It has an SNMP ifindex this is sure.

If it does you need to take care of this.

so you can think of 3000 interfaces and a maximum of 1024 VRFs.
