CSS config help - I am only able to access VIPs in Subnet. For example I added the new VLAN 51, new services called cDCAEX01-SMTP and cDCAEX02-SMTP and new content rule and VIP called EXCHANGE-SMTP Because thi si snot in subnet I cannot access this VIP. I think I have a problem in my config because 1/1 is in VLAN 20 and 1/2 is a trunk carrying VLAN 51, 311, 315.

Do I need to make 1/1 also a trunk port?

Do I shut down 1/1 and on 1/2 trunk port add VLAN 20 as well? Will this work?

Any other suggestions?

Config attached.

  • Cisco Employee,

you have no default route on the CSS. That's suspicious.

Also, check with 'show summary' and 'show service-summary' that your new vip and services are alive.

See if you can ping the new vip.

Take a sniffer trace to see if traffic makes it to the CSS.

Thanks for your reply. You mean the CSS should have a default route pointing to VLAN20's IP address.

Can you please elaborate a little and may be add in some config commands for my understanding because I am not very familiar with CSS.
