Failed to add WLC to WCS

hi

i am running WCS 4.2.110.0 and WLC 4402 with Ver5.0.148.0

When i try to add controller to my wcs (pretty sure snmp strings n methods are accurate) it shows "FAILED TO ADD DEVICE TO WCS"

REASON: Object not found in device

What may be the problem of this?

According to cisco doc, adding controller is as simple as just that.

You must use a version of WCS at least as high as your controller code. WLC code 5.0 has significant database differences than the older 4.2 code and thus your WCS is searching for database fields that don't yet exist in the WCS database. Upgrade your WCS to the latest version.

Thank you for that great piece of knowledge!

I was running into the same issue on a newly redployed and code upgraded 4402...

The WLC is 1 revision above the WCS but I would not have thought about that so thank you very much.
