WRT54G Router problem

I have a WRT54G router connected from a DSL Modem to 2 PC computers via cat 5 cables(I'm not using the rf portion)

All was working until the remote computer (in another room) acquired a virus. I couldn't fix so I reformatted the hard drive and reloaded windows xp.

Now I can't contact the router from the

remote computer(all else works good)

The local computer continues working well.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. John

Have you looked in the MAC address table on the router t0o see if your MAC is even showing up? Do you have the router configured to only allow so many MAC's? Are you using DHCP?
