I am thinking about upgrading to 6.0.1 from 4.3.6 is there any real advatage? Is the adobe viewer still required to use MARS? Just a couple of thoughts that were rattling around.

The "real advatage" would be based on the features you are looking for. Here is a list of features:
The most compelling reasons would usually be performance improvements, enhanced device/signature support. However it would be better to wait for the next minor release IMHO.

I run 6.0.1 on a MARS50 an can confirm the performance improvements. I have the same number of devices configured and same traffic flow but CPU usage is almost half of what it was with 4.3.6. That and the improved raw data management is the main advantages for me.
But since I have some problems after 6.0.1 I agree with the advice to wait for the next release

I also confirm the performance improvements.
If you use Cisco IPS you also can filter based on risked rating and threat rating. Would be nice if you could filter on signature though but Im sure thats coming

Hi Fredrik,
A patch has been released for 6.0.1 that fixes four sofware bugs.

The readme file for the patch lists the fixes included in the patch.
