ACE REDUNDANCY

Hi,

I configured ACE redundancy with ACE 4710 devices.

I defined admin context in HA.

one on the ACE is - Active and the other device is standby HOT.

I checked the configuration synchronisation and everything looks fine.

The problem is ,once i configured admin contex in HA i was not able to configure or not making any changes from the ACE GUI to the Admin context.

I can do the same changes from the CLI.

PLease let me know what will be the issue.

Hi,

When you are working on HA aces, you can only configure on the ACE that is Active for that context. The ACE that is standby for that context will not accept any config changes.

So basically, when you have a pair of ACEs in HA, configuration changes need to be done on the active member and will be synced to the standby member.

I was trying to do the configuration changes from the Active member only.

I can do the changes from the Active member CLI not from GUI.

pls make sure that your ANM box has the appropriate RBAC rights to the admin contexts.

I can do all the changes before i joined the Admin context in HA.

I got a question whether we can configure admin context in HA or not ?

Becoz i dont have any problem configuring other virtual context when i configure them in HA.
