Solved: Cisco 827H ADSL Interface Capability

Hi guys,

Trying to find a quick bit of info about the Cisco 827H router.

Can someone tell me what the maximum downstream speed of the ADSL interface is?

I have one of these routers for home use, and am thinking of going for a faster DSL service - the 827H tells me I'm getting 2848 kbps downstream - just wondering if my 827H will be able to support the service being offered (up to 16 Mbit downstream, and I live less than 1 mile from my exchange), or if I should upgrade to a newer model.

it will not support 16Mbps DS

But ADSL standards state

ITU G.992.3 Annex L

ADSL2+ ITU G.992.5

So you will need another router for ADSL2 or better
