Hello all
My boss is considering implementing Dhcp on a decentralized basis, in a way so each (layer3) switch on different locations manages its own dhcp-hosts.
In this way we would of course minimize dhcp traffic on our core network, but i wonder if it is standardized to manage dhcp in this way. If so, there has to be some kind of central administration-tool to manage all the dhcp-switches (we are a large organisation) - is there???.
What should i answer my boss...Can this be done and is it recommendable?
