6509 redundancy

Hi ALL:

I have 6509 with 2 sup 720 (same model).

for reduncendy i am usinf SSO but due to the image diiference in the SUP the opeartional mode is RPR.

I need to know how i could upgrade the image in the standy SUP to the SUP work in SSO.

Vishwa,

I would copy the IOS image from the supervisor in slot 5 to the supervisor in slot 6 and then reload the supervisor in slot 6. Since the SUP in slot 5 is using a newer version (assuming that's what you are trying to do) you will need to fail the switch over to slot 5 while it reboots. Another way would to use a compact flash card and boot from it. As soon as the supervisor boots up running the same IOS you should be running SSO.
