Need MPLS solution for this scenario

In the attached architecture, we have swith with single sup engine, where as there are two links going to different location from this switch,

one of the client will be working in switch area, but they need 99.99% uptime, which is not possible due to single sup engine,

I am planning to go for MPLS with two different provider, client is ready to procure required routers,

Kindly let us know the technical details involved and required in this scenario.

Hello Saravan,

the MPLS Service can be a L2 MPLS service as simple as a point-to-point EoMPLS service or an MPLS L3 VPN.

In fist case no routing interaction will happen between your routers and the service provider PE routers.

In the second case your router will peer with the directly attached PE router using an eBGP session or EIGRP as the PE-CE protocol.

The service provider signalling infrastructure (VPNV4 Route Reflector Servers) will propagate the routing info to the other sites.

So if using eBGP sessions you will need to redistribute between EIGRP and BGP process, otherwise the change is as simple as adding a network command inside the router EIGRP process.

I have just a doubt: when you say you want to use two different ISP MPLS services do you refer to the two links between sup1 and RA and RB or the links that from RA and RB exit on the right ?

However, the above considerations are general enough to be valid in both cases.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
