Can anyone confirm that an 1120 series with an 802.11b only radio can do WPA. This unit is EOL and I can only find specs for a 802.11g unit.
If so what is there a recommended IOS level?
thanks

Unfortunately, Cisco 802.11b radios do not support WPA-AES. Since it's an 1120, you also cannot upgrade the access point, so it seems you're stuck without it.
Now, it should be able to do WPA-TKIP, and upgrading to the newest version of code should do the trick. I'm not sure what version started supporting it, though.

I assumed it should do WPA and not WPA2 I just can't find valid confirmation on this.

The 802.11b radio can only do WPA as it has no AES support on the radio module.
There was an upgrade kit to support 802.11g, this does do WPA2/AES as well as multiple BSSIDs.
