Does anyone know how to find out the checksum on a downloaded ios image on a 3750 switch ?
ie I used tftp to download a new ios image and now I want to check the checksum on the file located on the flash.

The command is possible to write this way in the 3750, however if i do that on the current version (12.2.46-se) it can not find the file specified, however if i add /md5 in the correct place then it works like a charm. seems to me there is a bug in the verify command on this version for the 3750.
Thank you very much for your input. it was most helpful.

IOS across routers/switches/firewall/ACEs/etc can differ slightly in their commands. Edison was spot on with the /md5.

You can verify the file from the switch with the command:
verify /md5 flash:[filename]
From the workstation, the answer depends on the OS running on the system. In Windows, there are tools such as winMD5Sum and if you have *Nix, please see: http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/howto-verify-integrity-of-the-tar-balls-with-md5sum-command.html

Works like a charm.
it was in the switch, I needed to check it out after a series of 0 in the tftp transfer.
Thank you very much for your swift inpuut.
