I have a 3725 that we are using the NAT overload statement on the outbound ethernet interface.

the NAT translations are not timing out

I have had as many 185000 translations

then the router will stop NATing.

How do I force these NAT translations to terminate.

I have tried the NAT timeout statement but that does not see to help.

interface FastEthernet0/0

ip address x.x.x.x 255.255.255.252

ip nat outside

interface FastEthernet0/1

ip address x.x.x.x 255.255.252.0

ip nat inside

ip nat translation timeout 1800

ip nat inside source list 110 interface -FastEthernet0/0 overload

Hi,

Try to implement following timeouts also

ip nat translation udp-timeout [seconds]

ip nat translation dns-timeout [seconds]

ip nat translation tcp-timeout [seconds]

ip nat translation finrst-timeout [seconds]
