6506-E hardware compatibility

Hello;

We have following modules that were recently used in a 6509 chassis(not E series). Now we will buy a 6506-E chassis to plug these modules in. Are Sup2 and 6506-E chassis compatible?

Catalyst 6000 supervisor 2 (Active) WS-X6K-SUP2-2GE

Pure SFM-mode 16 port 1000mb GBIC WS-X6816-GBIC

SFM-capable 16 port 10/100/1000mb RJ45 WS-X6516-GE-TX

Switching Fabric Module-136 (Active) WS-X6500-SFM2

SFM-capable 16 port 10/100/1000mb RJ45 WS-X6516-GE-TX

Intrusion Detection System WS-SVC-IDSM-2

SFM-capable 48 port 10/100/1000mb RJ45 WS-X6548-GE-TX

Yes all these modules and the supervisor will work in an E-chassis. Bear in mind you will need a different Fan for the E-chassis and probably power supplies as well.

Probably are. It's just that the E-fan needs minimum of 2500W power supplies. You could have been running with 1300W power supplies so that is why i said probably.
