Adding secondary ACE Back to production

I had to take out the standby ACE from production today and want to insert it back now .. what is safe way to add it back ..It will be good if we can remove the peer address from the standby ACE and add it.. But for that i have to insert the ACE to the production switch and it might cause some issue .. Any suggetions..

There will not be any issue in inserting ACE to the production switch.But, before you install the ACE module with preloaded software in the production switch (Catalyst 6500 series switch or Cisco 7600 series router chassis), ensure that the chassis contains the following:

- Supervisor Engine 720 with Cisco IOS software and a Multilayer Switch Feature Card (MSFC3). The ACE module supports the following models of Supervisor 720 engines: WS-SUP720, WS-SUP720-3B, WS-SUP720-3BXL, VS-S720-10G-3C, VS-S720-10G-3CXL

• Any module that has ports to connect to the server and client networks.
