Hi,

I have a VWIC2-2MFT-G703 (2-Port T1/E1 Voice / WAN w/ D&I & unstructured E1 ) and need to configure this. Can someone tell me :-

1) how do I see this card on my 3825 router ? Coz I am not seeinng this card when I have put it in my router ...

2) how do I configure this card ...

You have to define the type of circuit with the slot number of the card for example.

controller E1 0/0/0

Then you can specity it's framing and channel-group such as:

framing NO-CRC4

channel-group 0 timeslots 1-31

That depends on the way the circuit was provisioned. T1, E1 framing etc etc.

The essential first step is to tell the router how you want to use the card (since it can support both T1 and E1). Use the command: card type T1/E1 and identify the slot that the card is in. Then the suggestions from Donald will be available.
