Chaging hostname of CSM 3.1 server

Hi,

Can anyone advice is there anything i need to take note of if i need to change the hostname of the Cisco Security Manager server? A URL to any document would be good.

If you look at Appendix C "Command Reference" Privilege 15 commands p. C-17 of the CiscoWorks 1160 SIMS Engine 3.1 Install and Config Guide (78-15738-01), you will read

hostname

To change the system hostname, use the hostname command:

hostname ? | name

Syntax Description

name New hostname for the SIMS Engine; the name is case

sensitive and may be from 1 to 22 alphanumeric characters.

Example

The following example changes the hostname to sandbox:

hostname sandbox

BTW, Have you ever used the Recovery DVD? I am trying to recover from a Disk crash.
